Home from the hospital and Sandi is OFFICIALLY IN REMISSION!!!!!
There are new doctors to see and some tests will have to be done on a couple of issues, but the main news is very good. She has remaining pockets of cancer scattered throughout her body and each is surrounded by scar tissue. However in each case, the cancer is dead and shows no activity according to the PET SCAN. In three months, they will do another PET SCAN to make sure nothing has started back up and will continue to do that every three months for at least a year.
REMISSION---what a wonderful word!!!
Kevin

ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa. I was doing the same thing yesterday. Major miracle.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is, Terry. Mind blowing for sure. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susan. I hope so. She still has some new docs and new tests to deal with but compared to where she was back when this started....wow!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elizabeth. I am convinced the prayers, support and her own attitude worked this miracle in conjunction with the drugs.
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!! We know that prayer changes things. Still keeping you all on our prayer list, but marking this one as a "yes." Y'all do something to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shalanna. We are not celebrating just yet until we get her through the new doctors and their tests. Some things have to be dealt with and hopefully ruled out and then we will know she is through the very worst of everything.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
