A Saturday Evening Well Spent

It was another Saturday evening with Sandi working late and the boys gone for a walk. That meant that I had the place to myself for over an hour with all quiet as long as I kept the TV off. So, with everyone gone, I worked on my own fiction for awhile. Specifically, I worked on the edits provided by Barry Ergang on the upcoming e-book that will feature my published and new short stories.

Sandi has been pushing me for some time to get back to work on my stuff. She has been pushing the idea that I should use my very limited time when I can sit up to work on my stuff first and foremost. In her mind, the reading and reviews should come way after I work on my own stuff. This was an idea that she was pushing somewhat before her cancer was diagnosed last November.

Once that hit, my writing was the absolute last thing on my mind.

Now that she is thankfully still in remission Sandi has been pushing me to start thinking about my own stuff again. Not just getting to the various doctors about my issues, but doing what I can for me writing wise. She believes that not only will my writing help me cope with my issues because I will have a more positive attitude, but she thinks it just might give me a little pain relief.

I have no idea if she is right. But, until my hands started really acting up a few minutes ago, for a little while there I wasn't thinking about the constant back and leg pain. I definitely overdid things, but a little progress was made on the e-book.

Another sample tomorrow morning......
