ELLE by Philippe Djian, reviewed by Arnold Taylor Michelle has been raped and knows that the incident should have upset her more than it did, but she has other problems, both personal and work-related, and has to find a way to cope with them. COLD KILLERS by Lee Weeks, reviewed by Chris Smart An East End feud has the potential to lead to murder. CHAOS by Patricia Cornwell, reviewed by John Barnbrook Kay Scarpetta is called to investigate the death of a young woman during an intolerable heatwave. The data appears to be inexplicable and yet she feels that it may have consequences beyond what is apparent. FATEFUL MORNINGS by Tom Bouman, reviewed by Chris Roberts Carpenter Kevin O’Keefe reports his girlfriend Penny missing and admits to a shooting. County policeman Henry Farrell tries to find out what has been going on.
