Tornado Aftermath

We are okay. We were also very lucky.

If you have been seeing the news coverage of the tornado that first struck in NW Dallas and then started heading eastbound across North and then NE Dallas, it was on a direct track for here. As we moved to the interior hallway bathroom and hoped for the best, it took a slight jog and passed just to the north missing us by a few miles. Multiple neighbors have pictures taken from their backyards and on streets, including this one,  showing it within a mile or two of us here as it came from the west. I was too worried about getting us ready to hide in the bathroom to stand outside with my cane and try to take pictures.

We missed it and we also missed the second round of severe weather at just after 1 AM when the second severe storm line hit.

Thank you, sir. This time of year is considered our second severe weather season, though truth be told, such stuff is happening year around these days. I had been worried all day becuase, despite what our weather readers were saying, it felt really scary all day. Born and raised here so I had a feeling that it was going to be bad. I was far more worried about baseball sized hail and such as opposed to a twister.
