Scott's Take: The Exiled Fleet by J.S. Dewes

The Exiled Fleet by J.S. Dewes is the second book in the Divide series. The series began with The Last Watch which I reviewed last week. I read this in eBook form via my local library system.

This book picks up several months after the first book. Cavalon Mercer is attempting to build a star to power the ships engines so they can make it back to the core. AT the Same time, Adequin Rake is gathering the surviving Sentinels. They will have to face many enemies if they want to get back to the core and eventually remove the Mercer family from power.

The Exiled Fleet by J.S. Dewes is just as good as the first one though it is slower to get going. There are also more twists and turns in this book than the first book as well as several new important supporting characters are introduced. The book is a fantastic science fiction adventure full of action, character development, and some humor. I highly recommend this book for fans of the first one.

The currently untitled third book in the series should be very interesting whenever it comes out.
