Mary Jane &
Black Cat: Dark Web by Jed Mackay is a tie in title to Spider-Man:
Dark Web. You don’t need to read that to get the plot here. I would
recommend you don’t. That book is currently considered the worst book by a
majority of Spider-Man fans. I have read it because I love Spider-Man and I very
much regret reading it.
However, this is
actually good. All you need to know is that demons are attacking New York and
Mary Jane has a new family and has powers. Her and the Black Cat get stranded
in limbo and are forced to steal a magic sword so the demon who trapped them
will let them go.
This a fun title
with pretty art and a decent story. There is some action and banter. It is a
heist story. I enjoyed this title.
My reading copy came by way of Hoopla and the Dallas Public Library System.
