Sunday Movie Review: "PIXELS"

Back in the day I haunted the local arcades here playing video games. My personal favorite was Asteroids though I was pretty good at a couple of others. So, when I saw ads for PIXELS I really wanted to see it. Now that it is out on DVD I finally got my chance.

Netflix Synopsis: "After aliens attack Earth using 1980s arcade games as models for their onslaught, President Will Cooper calls in longtime friend and former gaming ace Sam Brenner to take on the extraterrestrial invaders."

Adam Sandler is Sam Brenner who has gaming skills taht are not relevant to today's world. So, these days he installs audio/visual equipment for customers. That is until the aliens who received an recording made of the video game championships thirty years ago take it as a declaration of war and launch attacks on the planet.

Typical Adam Sandler as the jokes have no depth at all. He is once again doing the shtick of the man/boy who has never grown up. Still, all in all,. the movie is fun and kind of stupid and worth your time.Just don't take it seriously or over think it.
