Amazon Associate

In addition to the donation widget on the left side, I am an Amazon Associate. What this means is if you click on one of the book links on this blog to buy a particular book or to shop on Amazon and you buy something, I get a few pennies on the sale. It does not affect the price you pay at Amazon or have any impact on you financially at all.

What it does do is generate a small referral fee that is paid into my Amazon Associate account a few pennies at a time. Those pennies add up each quarter. When enough pennies add up to ten dollars, usually once a year, I can cash out.

So, if you are going to shop at Amazon anyway, please consider going through me to do your shopping. Every little bit helps and I do appreciate it very much.

Thank you

Kevin

I'm in. I order quite a bit from Amazon. If I understand, just click on a book on the side, then order whatever through that link. Right?

I was offered membership in Amazon's vine program a couple of years back. Get to pick four items a month, usually books(ARCs) for me.

Yes, Randy. Just click on any book and that will take you to Amazon and then order whatever. And thank you!

I am on the Vine deal too. I usually go with books though occasionally I have snapped up something else. I am way behind in my reading for that so I can't get anything right now. I like the program overall, but I do not understand why when the quantity of something is gone they don't pull it from the newsletter.

I sometimes wonder if thet ever had some things. When they started with the big ticket items(as ib stoves, refrigerators), I tried a couple out of curiosity. Mind you, I was online when the newsletter came through and every one said out of stock.

The only big item I got was a diver's watch they were selling for several hundred dollars, discounted from two thousand. It was a horrid piece, to large and cumbersome. Even reviews from folks that dived didn't like it. I stick mostly with books, though I have tried the occasional snack when they are in stock and a new razor blade system.

I wonder if they do too. I mainly do books though I have tried to get software, lights, and a couple of other things.

The bad thing is if the shipment goes missing, as has happened to me before, they won't remove it from your to be reviewed pile. Very annoying because the missing shipment counts against you.
