Some interesting thoughts in the article. I don't see ebooks crashing through as quickly as serveral in the article predict. Ebooks have been predicted to take over, for years.

I think it will be a slow erosion, where ebooks take a larger share of the market, but will be many years before they utterly dominate.

Of course, my prediction is probably as reliable as anybody else's.

I don't think they ever will take a meaningful share AS currently constructed. I know the e-book bandwagon proponents flip out over this, but, I think we are very close to market saturation as the readers are currently constructed.

For the technology to dominate, I think there has to be at least one more major breakthrough that makes the choice something that appeals to huge numbers of folks. Don't think we are anywhere near there yet.
