Kevin, I understand. I can't imagine how that must have felt to read those nasty comments, but I think this is a little different. At least one of the two authors mentioned, Christian, was being stalked by one or more readers, reviewers, or commenters.
I wouldn't wish either on anyone.
I had a couple of idiots stalking all my reviews for a couple of years. It was garbage and cost me at least three different paid review gigs that I know about. Have no idea what damage was done on things I might have been considered for and never heard about.
Still, I wonder if something else is going on here beyond what is said and blamed in the piece.
Yes, of course you might be right. But the reason it sounds so distressing is not that her reviews were stalked but that one or more people were stalking her by e-mail and text. I would find that more troublesome. We don't know what he was saying to her. I don't know if men get these kinds of messages, but I've had a few myself over the years. The word frightening does not describe it. Terrifying comes close. Still you might be right.
