Scott's Take: Chaos Vector: The Protectorate (Book Two) by Megan O’Keefe

Chaos Vector by Megan E. O’Keefe is the second book in The Protectorate series that began with Velocity Weapon. The book begins shortly after the end of the proceeding book and Tomas and Sanda on the run from various powers who are hunting them. Their mission is to use the coordinates from the chip in her neck to visit a “dead-end system” that might have answers to recent events. That is, if they can stay ahead of the various people hunting them.

At least that is the plot premise at the beginning of the book. As happened with the first book, everything changes rapidly throughout the novel so it is difficult to explain without ruining vast sections of the book. There are revelations in this novel that make one look differently at the events of the first novel.

This action-packed book has more twists and turns then the first one. There is plenty of character development, drama, and science fiction elements. If you enjoyed Velocity Weapon, you will probably enjoy Chaos Vector: The Protectorate (Book Two) by Megan E. O’Keefe.

I highly recommend this book and series.

The third book in the series is Catalyst Gate and will be read and reviewed.

My reading copy came from my library branch, Lochwood.
