The Preditors and Editors Official Poll Results

The Preditors and Editors Official Poll Results are out and this blog finished FOURTH this year. Once again it was beat by slick team review sites that primarily focus on romance and fantasy and are heavy into interviews/giveaways. Not only does this mean the blog moved up one spot, it means the blog is still number one for those readers that are interested in mystery and all of its many flavors.

While I am very glad about the ranking, I am most gratified by the comments regarding the blog.  As a few folks are aware, with everything here I have been giving serious thought to shutting down the blog. The comments make me think that the reviews, guest posts, and other things on the blog do matter to the book community at large.

Unoffical Standings at Preditors and Editors Poll

Just checked the unofficial poll results .....as expected the blog is in 5th place in the Preditors and Editors voting behind two primarily romance and two primarily horror review sites. Which means the blog is number one for review sites that consistently do two or more genres.

If you have not already voted, please do so at:  http://critters.org/predpoll/reviewsite.shtml

Thank you!

Poll Results

With everything going on here, I never did check and see what the final tally was at Preditors and Editors on the Reviewer Poll. This blog finished FOURTH with some great and very positive comments here. It is also worth noting that this site finished first for mysteries/thriller, etc., as the top three finishers review horror and romance books.

Big time thanks to all for their support.

Please Consider Voting For The Blog

It is that time of year again....the annual Preditors and Editors poll at http://critters.org/predpoll/  The last several years this blog has been listed and each year it has moved up a little bit in the rankings. My hope is that this year that will happen again. The competition is fierce. It is very hard to come out ahead of review sites that primarily cater to horror and romance as their readers really turn out the vote.

If you like what you see here please consider voting for this blog under the review catagory. On behalf of myself, Barry Ergang, Patrick Ohl and the numerous other folks that have contributed from time to time, thank you for considering it. The poll ends on January 14 and you can vote at:
http://critters.org/predpoll/reviewsite.shtml

Thank you. We all appreciate your consideration and, if you feel we are worthy, your support.

Predators & Editors Poll---THE RESULTS ARE IN!!

The top five finishers in this year’s Preditors & Editors Poll under the "Review Site" category are:

Bitten By Books--The Paranormal Review Site With Bite!   http://www.bittenbybooks.com/
Vampire Romance Books  http://www.vampireromancebooks.com/

And then, in at number five after those goliaths comes the little guy:
Kevin’s Corner

I am thrilled with the top five finish! Especially considering how the past year has gone and the powerful sites below Kevin’s Corner and above in the category. Lots of major sites in terms of resources and capability as well as sheer volume of reviews generated each month. Thanks to those who have submitted content such as Barry Ergang, Earl Staggs, Dave Zeltserman and Carolyn Clemmons, Kevin’s Corner competed very well. Clearly, based on the comments we are doing something right.

And, more than anyone, I thank you, our readers, who have supported the blog and voted for us in the Predators & Editors Poll. Thank you!  It is an incredible honor for all involved and I am very grateful. Thank you on behalf of all of us who contribute to the blog. It means so much!
