We are home and know nothing. No mass in either right chamber of her heart
according to the doc today and there was nothing swinging in the current
to get. He has no idea what the docs saw last week as none of that is
true according to him. He says the thing is totally on the outside of
her heart and pressing on the right side. Says he has no opinions on
treatment and that we need to get back with the cardiac surgeon when he
is back sometime late next week.
So, while the news is good that nothing is internally in her heart, we are no closer to getting that needed sample for pathology. We are also not sure, based on what this guy today said, whether the whole other surgery plan of stopping her heart, putting her on the heart/lung machine, etc., is now necessary.
The whole deal is weird and very stressful.

Back to the Hospital
Thought we were going to have to go back to the Hospital on Monday when Sandi suddenly developed a fever for the day. Got that under control and we didn't have to. Today, we do.
Assuming we can get down the ice covered stairs without killing ourselves, and we can get a car to start, we are to be at the hospital at 9:30 for her deal later today. Around noon she is scheduled for this deal to go in and snag a piece off the thing in her heart.Hopefully this all works the right way as she does not need any more complications and issues.
I will update when I can. But, with no cellphone or laptop with me it is going to be far later today.

Doctor Day in the Land of Tipple
This was one of those days when both Sandi and I had doctor deals going on. Makes for a long day--especially when my old enemy insomnia is back.
Sandi was first up this morning with her foot doctor. Her right angle continues to hurt her a lot and is showing no sign of getting better. While she is still to wear the ankle air cast while at work, he has put her in some sort of heavy strap on boot for the rest of the time. This is the same leg she had knee surgery on last October so I am rather concerned that the boot weight will do something to her knee and cause a new problem. This apparently is a possibility though one hopes not. The sad truth is her ankle is not getting any better so now she has to go into the heavy boot as much as possible so that the ankle has more stability. In two weeks he will see her again.
In my case this afternoon was the calcium screening test. I had been told last week that there would be some sort of injection. That was not done as there is no injection for this deal. The test consisted of me being moved back and forth on the table while the machine spun above me and I was told to breathe and not breathe. The hard part was being on the table with my hands above my head. Fortunately, after about ten minutes, I was done. Results will take a few days and they will call me when they have them.

Home
Back home from the appointment. Nothing new and disturbing turned up so far. Blood was drawn for testing. Tests are planned--some sort of calcium deal as well as a chemical stress test--in coming weeks. The calcium deal is first and that is next Tuesday afternoon.
So, nothing surprising so far.. Office EKG was the same as it always is so nothing new there. Blood pressure appears to be where it should be so the doctor is happy. Not happy with my weight gain, but understands I can't move so I can't do much about that issue. I'm just happy I managed to make it through without falling. Major victory there.
He will be signing the required paperwork so that I can get my handicapped parking plates/tag. That will be a huge help as things are still gradually getting worse mobility wise.
I will be pretty much wiped out for the rest of today....

A Small Update On Me
Was trying to sit up and work on a book review tonight and just hurt way too much. Can hardly stand it as this has been one of the worst pain days I have had in a long time. Have not fallen yet, but usually when it gets this bad, I will soon be taking a tumble.
In the morning and way too early I have a cardiology appointment. Now that I am on Medicare, I can do some things heath wise. I am starting with seeing what shape my heart is in. Part of me is glad to be able to go and a part of me is seriously dreading the deal.
I will do what I can here when I can.......
