The View From The House

The grief is really bad again for both of us. It has been a very hard few days.

I dragged us outside this afternoon to try and clear our heads at least a little. The wind chimes were Sandi's from a trip to Florida in the 90s. The apartment complex forbid us to hang them so when we came here, I put them up for her before we started moving in. She loved it. Despite the storms we have had here, they still are intact.

67 here and sunny skies with grass and clover growing in the yard again. Trees in the yard have started budding out. Weird winter.

Would You Like To Be My Neighbor?

Picture from the CB DALLAS website

I miss a lot of stuff in Plano, but I don't miss the insane rent and fees paid to American Community Properties or the fact that we always had to wait a month or longer to get something in the apartment fixed. The market in the neighborhood has turned down rental price wise or we would have been here back when my Mom was alive and I was desperately trying to get us as close as possible to help her. After trying to raise the rent on our former neighbors, the family moved, and the house next door that has been vacant for a month is now back on the market. All the details are here.

The View From The Backyard

The front that was supposed to be through our area of NE Dallas by mid morning, was way behind which allowed us to be outside reading until late afternoon. I played with the cellphone camera a little bit as you can see below.

Not sure you can see it, but we have green grass now and the trees are budding out.

Neighborhood Surveillance Underway

On the first cool morning here in the house where I could open the doors and windows, Krystal is conducting ongoing neighborhood surveillance. Scott will conduct an intelligence briefing later today with his cat and get a detailed report.
