I'm not a fan of Daylight Savings Time, but it is nice to be able to sit outside for awhile after dinner. Taken by Karl earlier this evening.......

Porch Time
Having fallen yesterday and seriously still hurting today, I spent much of this day stretched out across the den floor watching football. By the time the Cowboys were coming on, Sandi had moved outside to the creek side porch. Truth be told, I think she needed her space today and it was a good day to be outside. Thursday and what it all means is weighing very heavy on both of us. Late this afternoon, Duncan, wandered outside to join her.
It may be hard to see, but, Duncan is in the back of the other chair. In front of Ducan is a thing of blue yarn and a completed hat that will be donated to the infusion room for a cancer patient to have for warmth.
A better picture of Duncan hanging out in his frequent feline torpedo position....
Often he gets a bit straight than he is in this picture.

Quiet Sunday On The Porch
With no Cowboys game today it was a quiet Sunday on the porch. That is until the first picture was sneakily taken....
Of course that led to several more ......
including my attempt, such as it was, at "Gangman Style" .....
kind of hard to style or strike a pose when you can't dance--with or without the cane.

Sunday on the Creek
One of the things both Sandi and I have always liked about our apartment is the back porch which overlooks the creek. Sandi likes to sit outside and work on her craft projects or watch the wildlife--human and otherwise. I also like to be out on the porch as much as the weather and my own body will tolerate. Back in the day, I used to hike¸ go fishing, and do all sorts of things outside. These days I can barely move so I spend time outside sitting on the porch reading and watching.
I knew for sure winter was over a couple of weeks ago when the fish and turtles started appearing in the shallow water below us. Not to mention the fact that the water moccasins are swimming in the creek in the evening as they move up the channel from right to left. Again yesterday evening as Sandi and sat outside for a little while we heard crickets chirping.
For the second weekend in a row the water craft are back in the creek.
And then there is this. In addition to trees budding out all over the complex and surrounding neighborhood, we already have strawberries in the pot.
Yep….Spring is here. Probably means it will be 104 in three weeks. If that long.
