My Mom stepped off this mortal plane of existence just before three this afternoon. It was as peaceful as it possibly could have been. I choose to believe she is now with my Dad as she has so desperately wanted since he passed nearly five years ago.
I had a feeling this was inevitable, but that doesn't make it any easier on anyone. It's so tough to lose a parent, no matter what the circumstances. My condolences to you and all the family.
I knew it was coming, for sure, by last Tuesday after the neurologist showed me the sequence of her MRIs. I thought I was ready. I wasn't. All I can say is thank you one and all.

Very sorry to hear the news. Prayers for you and your family continue.
So very sorry, Kevin. Life is terribly hard lately. Being an orphan is hard even after 50.
I am so very sorry to read this. No one is ever ready to be an orphan, no matter the age. You and yours are in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear this, Kevin. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Like Bill said, it's hard to lose a parent no matter how old you are.
