Sandi Saturday Update 11/4/17

This has been a tough day at the hospital as Sandi is worse today mentally than at any point since she was admitted. She is back where she was the weekend before she was admitted nearly two weeks ago. In fact, she might be worse than that. I am not sure. She is very confused when awake and moaning almost continuously when sleeping. When we walked in this morning, there was a big note on her board for all staff to “Monitor Mental Activity” so we knew there were issues.

They have changed her antibiotic regimen and are using a new one on her and they are also treating spikes in her blood pressure. They are monitoring her for heart issues, as there have been more instances of A-Fib.

So, she is in bad shape today. If you have a moment to think about her, say a prayer, etc., please do so as she really needs it. Thank you.

What Bill said.

No matter how helpless you feel, you and Sandi remain two of the strongest persons on God's green Earth.

Thank you, Bill. She knew who we were, but very little else. It was really hard. She wanted to say things and could not use the words and at other times what she could get out in a fragmented half sentence made no sense at all. Just horrible. And the skull cancer lesions have grown massively in the last 72 hours. They are huge now and bright pink in color.

know this is an almost impossible time for all of you --- all any of us can offer you is the comfort of knowing this extended community truly cares.

And that us very much appreciated, Debra.
