It's a scary time, to be sure. Let's hope all the politicians understand the need to be honest and not try to sugarcoat things to what we want to hear. Only then can be flatten the curve.

The county leader has been great as has been the county health department. The mayor and the governor had been pretty good, but, in the last three days or so have jumped on the "we must reopen by the end of the month" bandwagon that the President is driving. This despite the fact that here the peak is still projected to be right at the end of April and the first week of May.

As I have discussed with my son, they can declare things open all they want and it won't matter to us. We were doing all the precautions before they came up with the shelter at home stuff for everyone and we will still be doing them when those in charge decide to reopen everything.

All those in charge are doing is deciding how bad things will be now and the timing of the second wave of infection. Open now and there will be a huge spike a month to two months from now. Or stay closed till the end of May at least---as we should---and delay that second wave till late October.
