My Dad

As some already know, the last couple of days have been extremely rough.  My Dad unexpectedly passed away Wednesday evening. I didn’t know until late that night when my Mom called from a local area hospital to tell me what had happened. Even now, several days later I am still in shock. I don’t know how to express  what has happened or the impact, not only on me,  but on my Mom.

I have lost my Dad.

My Mom has lost the only man she ever loved after more than fifty years of marriage.

Words fail me.

My sympathies, Kevin. I lost my dad in 1997 and still think of him every day. On top of everything else, this must be especially tough.

Kevin, I am sorry to learn the news. The loss will certainly be difficult for you and all your family. My father passed away in 2007. I think about him often, as I know you will with your father.
Hang in there.

I lost my Dad a little over a year ago. I was his caregiver and my Mom's too who died the year before. It gets easier but never easy. With your plate so full, it must be excruciating.

Good Lord, Kevin, has God confused you with Job? What a horrible tragedy on top of all else you have to bear.

I lost my dad in 1981 and still miss him every single day. It's like you've lost a piece of yourself.

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

Thank you, Janis.

My dad always said he hoped that he would read my first published novel before he died. I always thought I had more time to make that happen.

I'm just devastated.

Oh, wow, Kevin. I am so sorry to hear this. You have really had more bad stuff happen than one man should have to suffer. Cherish all your memories of him.
