to a great idea, voice is what appeals most to editors and readers.
Michelle
Stimpson is an author, a speaker, and an educator who received her Bachelor of
Science degree from Jarvis Christian College in 1994. She earned a Master’s in
Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2002.
Her
works include the highly acclaimed Boaz
Brown, Divas of Damascus Road (National Bestseller), and Falling Into Grace. She has published
several short stories for high school students through her educational
publishing company, Right Track Academic Support Services, at www.wegottaread.com.
Michelle
serves in the Discerning Hearts women's ministry at her home church, Oak Cliff
Bible Fellowship, and is currently pursuing her ministerial certification. She
ministers to women through her online newsletter: www.womengrowinginchrist.com.
She
tours annually with the Anointed Authors on Tour, and regularly speaks at
special events and writing workshops at churches, schools, book clubs and other
positive organizations.
Michelle
lives near Dallas with her husband, their two teenage children, and one crazy
dog.

Storytelling for Promotion. Dave Lieber (“Yankee Cowboy”) will show writers
how to use storytelling techniques to enable their message to “walk across
the newsroom onto the front page.”
Monday, 15 October 2012:
Getting the Most from the Sound of Your Writing. Joe Milazzo, director of
Community Education & Outreach at The Writer’s Garret, will focus on how
the sounds of language affect meaning and expression.
Saturday, 3 November 2012:
Saturday workshop: Building an Author Platform. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Led by Elaine
Gantz Wright. Richardson Civic Center. Fee: TBA.
Monday, 19 November 2012:
Email marketing and Social Media. Small business owner Nicci O’Boyle educates
small businesses and organizations on how to grow business using these tools.
17 December 2012: Holiday Mix & Mingle. Annual
WGT Board election and holiday party featuring cheer, refreshments, games,
giveaways. Member and guest readings and more.

Literary Mingle Message from Kat Smith: We made it a full 12 months, but 14 June 2012 marked the end of
the Muse Literary Mingle. Due to lack of support and interest, we will be no
