The pass play that cost the Seahawks the game--especially after the fluke reception that got them into excellent scoring position--should go down in football history as one of the all-time-stupidest calls. When you have guys like Lynch and Wilson who can run, you don't throw the ball from the half-yard line!
I think they out smarted themselves. Sure that NE was keying on Lynch they tried the pass. If it works, the coach is brilliant. If it backfires--as it did--the coach is an idiot.
It never comes down to that if they had not gone three and out on the three preceding drives.
