Sandi had her blood work and doctor visit today. Overall, her blood work was okay. They believe that things are relatively stable though her kidneys are a little uncooperative.
There was some sort of communication breakdown in the radiology department which is why nothing has been scheduled. Our people called over and that has been addressed. They are now working on getting Medicare approval to see her and start treatment. How fast this will be spun up is unknown, but things are now finally being done. We await the phone call that could come today.
In the meantime, in addition to stopping the chemo they have also made the decision to stop the IVIG which is the stuff they use to try and prop up her immune system. Not only have those numbers come up based on the blood work, stopping chemo should help keep her immune system somewhat stable. While it will be under assault once she starts radiation theoretically that assualt won't be near to the levels chemo inflicts upon Sandi.
All we know right now is we are supposed to see her cancer doctor three weeks from today for blood work and a visit.
