Finally Home

As expected, Sandi had to have two units of blood and a unit of platelets. Her blood numbers were very low today and all were surprised she was not in worse shape. They think that all the other issues I was seeing were due to the blood issues. Since the platelets made her sick Monday night they also gave her a small amount of steroids before they started doing the transfusion.

Tonight she feels a little better and is in a little bit less pain than she has been these past few days. She is awake and alert tonight and is way better than she has been the last two days. She is not right, but she is better, and that is a very good thing.

It's all so wearing. I know how hard it is on everybody. All you can do is keep on going.

I am trying......I am exhausted. Her doctor stuff, running Scott to UTD and hanging out while he does class, doing all the shopping/errands, and trying to unpack things and do stuff around here.....worry when I see her sliding sideways or worse as I did yesterday....it is all too much. Again today I had nurses worrying over me. These months since my mom passed and all that...being in her house now....these past months with the move and Sandi in the hospital....it is all way too much. Words fail me to explain.

I was glad to hear that Sandi seems a bit more stable... I hope that it will give you a chance to rest even a little, though I know rest is nigh impossible with all the physical and emotional demands. Thoughts and prayers.

Thank you....about an hour and a half after this post went back up we were right back where we were the night before. Hopefully, this is not the new normal.
