Today in Publicity Stupidity #EpicFail

Take a look at this nonsense. Beyond the fact that this is something that has zero relevance to anything I do, how is one supposed to respond when the reply email link is a no reply deal? Gotta wonder if Chris Carter and Chris Vaughn are one and the same. Publicity Stupidity.

Subject: (Expert Commentary) Schumer to unveil bill to federally decriminalize marijuana

Hi - I wanted to reach out following the breaking news that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is set to unveil a sweeping bill today that will decriminalize marijuana at the federal level.

If you’re working on a story and are in need of some expert commentary, I’d love to connect you with Chris Vaughn, CEO of Emjay, a cannabis retail and delivery company. He can provide some context on what this means exactly, what this means for the industry more specifically, what it means for marijuana delivery and more.

Let me know if you’d like to hop on the phone with him ASAP. I can also pass along his thoughts via email.

Hi.

You will be interested to know that, following the introduction of his sweeping marijuana reform bill, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will be introducing another major bill, this one making Kevin Tipple a National Holiday. Please note that the holiday will have no date attached to it -- the intent is not celebrate Mr. Tipple's birthday, nor any other significant anniversaries in his life (i.e., the day he was potty-trained, the day he had his first drink, the day he translated Prout's A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu into Urdu, or even the day he knocked over his first gas station. No sirreebob, this holiday is for Mr. Tipple the man and not his many accomplishments. It is Kevin Tipple the person who will be honored, not some silly date. The bill will also include funds to carve a likeness of Mr. Tipple in the Texas sandhills. It would also allow such major awards as the Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, and the Edgar to each be renamed the Kevin. I am sure you are as excited at this news as I am, but in order to successfully pass this bill we need your help. A small contribution of just $15,000 will help pave the way. This donation should be in small, unmarked bills placed into a large, unmarked envelope, to be left under an overpass in Dallas, Texas -- date and exact location to come.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

A Friend
