Sandi's Bloodwork

seemed to be where it should be today so they did not change anything. We go back next week for bloodwork and a doctor visit.

We went today for blood work, too. Judy's counts are dropping, as usual after chemo. No transfusion this week, though. Maybe next week, but of course we'd rather not.

Sounds good overall, Bill. I don't know if this really works or not, but we heard last week at the office from two different patients that they avoided transfusions by drinking at least 2 liters of water a day. Supposedly that encourages the body to make new blood cells and helps avoid the transfusion deal.

One patient had non hodgkins lymphoma (female) and the other had leukemia (male). The guy was in his early 50s and the lady was in her 70s (I think).

We have not talked to the doctor about this and I have no idea if this is a good idea or not. I do know they want Sandi to drink at least a liter of water everyday to flush the meds through her and to try and reduce the swelling in her feet and ankles.

Anyway, I pass it on for what it is worth. They have been able to do things with Judy that Sandi never could have done and obviously they are two vastly different situations.

The beat goes on and on and on....
